October 24th - 30th

  1. The Canterville Ghost at the Sky Stage - Oscar Wilde's The Canterville Ghost will perform at the beautiful Outdoor Space SKY STAGE - 59 S. Carroll Street in downtown Frederick. (Rain location FAC Arts Center on 5 E. 2nd Street.)
  1. Trunk-or-Treat and the Not-So-Spooky Library Trail of Treats at Thurmont Library - Dress in your best costume and enjoy a family-friendly night out. Outside, community businesses will decorate trunks and disperse treats; along with the library's not-so-spooky story trail.  We'll also have lots of fun games for the kids inside and out. 
  1. Paw-o-Ween: A Halloween Party for the Pups - Enjoy an evening of tricks and treats with your furry, four-legged friend, at the Ballenger Creek Dog Park. Your pooch will have an opportunity to run free in one of our off-leash areas, compete in a costume contest, and make new friends. Pawoween also provides great opportunities for families to sample dog-related products and visit exhibit booths. Dog owners must bring a collar, leash, and proof of rabies vaccination for entry. Limit two dogs per owner.
  1. Costume Party at Point of Rocks Library - Show off your Halloween attire at our special Costume Party! There will be some silly and spooky games, crafts, and stories for kids of all ages to enjoy. We can't wait to see your costumes and show off ours! 
  1. Scare in the Air at Urban Air Adventure Park - Trick-or-Treat around the park! Halloween scavenger hunt! Costume contests!
  1. Halloween Storytime and Parade at Natelli Community Center - Join us for a special Halloween storytime filled with spooktacular stories, songs, and rhymes! After storytime,  feel free to show off your costume as we parade around the Villages of Urbana!
  1. Halloween Fest at the Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company - Join us for a night of Fun!! Trunk-or-Treat, movies & food!
  1. History Trick-or-Treat at Rose Hill Manor Park and Museums - Discover the history of trick-or treating along with other fall traditions on this guided trip through our Museum buildings and grounds. You will meet costumed characters from throughout time and each character will entertain your group with a trick or treat. Pre-registration required.
  1. 2nd Annual Pumpkin Fun Run Walk and Roll at Sophie and Madigan's Playground - We’ll have music games and activities for the whole family! Come out and join us for this special event to benefit Sophie and Madigan’s Playground! All proceeds benefit Sophie and Madigan’s Playground to help us get closer to Phase 3 build and to continue to offer programs that encourage families to play, learn and create together!
  1. Halloween Spooktacular Concert - Join us for a fun program of spooky concert favorites like Danse Macabre, Night on Bald Mountain, Music from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and much more! Come in costume if you wish!
