June 26th-July 1st

  1. Michaels Online Kids Craft - Join us online for Camp Creativity! In this class, your mini makers will be making a personalized butterfly mask with a mask and construction paper. This is one of the 12 classes of Camp Creatology. Purchase the bundle of supplies to create all 12 projects or you can purchase the supplies for each project. Buy the bundle of supplies here. Make sure to sign up for the other classes to continue the summer fun of making jewelry, yarn, paper, and fine art.
  1. Frederick Keys vs West Virginia Black Bears at NYMEO Field - Come cheer on the Frederick Keys as they take on the West Virginia Black Bears. The Frederick Keys are part of Major League Baseball’s Draft League and play in an open-air stadium. Many delicious food and drink options are available for purchase. Join in on this wonderful, family-friendly hometown tradition that has been part of Frederick since 1989.
  1. Elementary Kids Baking Camp (Chocolate Zucchini Muffins) - Join Weis Dietitian Kimberly for a baking camp featuring step-by-step directions for a recipe that your kids can make themselves! These lessons will be all about baking; see recipes for each week below. You’ll receive an ingredients list beforehand so you can follow along. 
  1. Outdoor Storytime at Myersville Community Library - Join us for an outside family storytime. Enjoy stories, fingerplays, rhymes, and more! Ages 0-5. Consider bringing a blanket for sitting on the ground.  Please check back here for cancellations due to weather.
  1. Alive at Five at Carroll Creek Amphitheater - Alive @ Five is an outdoor happy hour every Thursday from 5-8pm in the Carroll Creek Amphitheater. July 1 — September 30, 2021
  1. Virtual Preschool Storytime and Songs through FCPL - Songs, stories, and fun for preschoolers and their grownups. Designed for ages 3-5 with a caregiver. 
  1. Play a game of paintball at Paintball Sportsland - Pack and picnic and come for the day! Snacks are also available for purchase. 
  1. Civil War Walking Tour in Downtown Frederick - Every Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 PM from April until October, docents from the National Museum of Civil War Medicine will explain how Frederick became “One Vast Hospital.” Arguably the most trying moment in city’s history came after the Battle of Antietam in the fall of 1862. The town’s population doubled when 8,000 wounded soldiers were delivered by ambulance to make-shift hospitals throughout Frederick.
  1. Live Music and Food Trucks at Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard - Join us on Sundays for live music (2-5pm) and food trucks serving fresh local treats!
  1. Explore Catoctin Creek Park and Nature Center - As an educational facility, the Nature Center is equipped with classrooms, hands-on displays, live animal displays, a playground, pavilion, trails, and other amenities necessary to provide services to the public.
