Last week we celebrated my daughter’s sixth birthday at Serendipity Horse Meadows in scenic Walkersville. My daughter is obsessed with horses right now so it made perfect sense to reach out to them about hosting her birthday party.
From the moment children started arriving, the staff kept them busy with fun games. From hula hoop games to a corn shucking contest, the giggles were nonstop. Serendipity even took care of providing the prizes!
After about thirty minutes of games, the pony rides started. Safety is of the utmost importance at Serendipity. I was so impressed with all of the information they patiently and expertly shared with the children regarding horseback riding and how to properly care for a horse.
The thing my daughter loved most about her party was the fact that she (the birthday child) was allowed to choose her pony first and ride it during the whole session without having to share. What a treat! After about forty minutes of pony rides, it was time to eat.
When having a party at Serendipity, it is up to the parents to provide the food and decorations. Grills are available or pizza can easily be delivered. My daughter requested hot dogs - easy enough!
Next we were off on a hayride around the farm. During the ride, Deanna, the owner of Serendipity, did a fantastic job keeping the children engaged in learning about nature on the farm. We rounded out the day with water guns and birthday cake and sent everyone home with horse noodles for the party favors.
I cannot emphasize enough what an amazing job Serendipity Horse Meadows did with my daughter’s party. I even overheard one of the parents commenting on how relaxed she felt during the party! Serendipity Horse Meadows provided exactly what we were looking for on so many levels: a peaceful outdoor setting where kids can run, play and laugh, all while enjoying beautiful horses and making lifelong memories. I’m not going to lie, one of the best parts of the party for me as the parent was not having to be in charge of keeping everyone occupied and entertained!
In addition to their birthday parties, Serendipity Horse Meadows also offers riding lessons, summer camps, trailrides and corporate events. We can’t wait to return!
