Frederick’s only independent, non-sectarian school

Character development goes hand in hand with academic preparation. At Banner students develop values that are based on Compassion, Integrity, Responsibility, Civility, Leadership, Empathy and Service (Banner’s CIRCLES of Community Citizenship).

The preschool provides three-and four- year olds with the academic foundation for kindergarten and the excitement that fosters a lifelong love of learning. The curriculum is culturally rich, fully integrated learning system that focuses on STEM, early literacy, the arts, and social emotional development. Additionally, students have access to PE, Art, and library. Students may attend 3, 4, or 5 days per week with full or half day options.

Primary School students in Kindergarten through Grade 4 have many opportunities to explore and learn. Our student centered approach enhances each child’s learning experience so that they can meet the academically challenging curriculum in a nurturing environment. In addition to core academic subjects, students are provided hands-on learning experience and participate in PE, Art, Music, Spanish, and library.

Middle School students are fully engaged in challenging academic program and embody the spirit to EXAMINE, EXPLORE, ACHIEVE, and DEMONSTRATE understanding. Project-based learning allows them to master skills in an integrated cross curricular environment that is enhanced by field trips, our Outdoor Classroom, and an 8th Grade Capstone Project. In addition to the core academic subjects, students are provided technology integration, band, performing and visual arts, as well as physical education and extra-curricular team sports.

Tuition assistance is available.
