1. Elementary Explorers: What Are the Winter Olympics?

This Week - Discover the excitement of the Winter Olympics! Kids will learn what the Winter Olympics are, explore  different winter sports, and try fun hands-on activities that celebrate  teamwork, movement, and  the spirit of the games.

2. Take a Closer Look: Sourdough Science with Green Roof Dough House

Join Green Roof Dough House on a delicious adventure where you’ll get to discover the magic behind sourdough bread! In this program, we’ll  teach  you how to create your very own sourdough starter (it’s like a little baking pet!), explore the cool science of how it rises, and  learn the  steps to make a loaf of homemade sourdough bread from scratch. By the end, you’ll be ready to bake bread that’s not only tasty, but also full of science and history.

3. Fire In Ice Festival

The fun begins on Friday night - head downtown for excitement including live ice carving demonstrations, the Ice Games Center, fire  performances  by Pyrophoric, and much more. On Saturday, you'll find all  the same plus ice sculptures, scavenger hunts, marshmallow roasting  stations, and  even an ice slide at the amphitheater!

4. Mt. Airy Main Street's Annual Chocolate Crawl

Come join the Mount Airy Main Street Association on Feb. 7 from 1 to 5 p.m. for a sweet day on Main Street in Mount Airy’s historic downtown. Enjoy all our shops and restaurants  have to offer while sampling delicious treats, local wines, and spirits. Sip on some hot chocolate and cider to  keep you warm as you stroll down Main. This is a family friendly event that you won’t want to miss!

5. Sunday Funday: Science & Surprise - Pretend Pancakes Ingredient Observations

Sundays are for pancakes! Let's explore typical pancake ingredients and their hidden wonders. We will practice with measurements and following recipe cards while we explore the world of ILOP (International Library of Pancakes).  (No food will be served.)
