  1. Infant Storytime with Costumes at Walkersville Library - Join us inside to explore songs, stories, and fun designed for our youngest audience and their caregivers! This program is intended for children 0-12 months and their families. Don't forget to wear your costume! 
  1. Halloween Storytime and Parade at Natelli Community Center - Join us for a special Halloween storytime filled with spooktacular stories, songs, and rhymes! After storytime,  feel free to show off your costume as we parade around the Villages of Urbana!
  1. Trick-or-Treat at Corn Crib Boutique - Attention Boys and Ghouls You are Invited to Our Spooktacular Halloween Trick or Treating Party !! Stop by for Candy and Cider. We may or may not have some special spooky cider for the adults
  1. Grace for President at Weinberg Center for the Arts - When Grace’s teacher reveals that the United States has never had a female president, Grace is frustrated and decides she wants to be the first female president. She immediately starts off her political career as a candidate and initiates a mock school election. In this timely story, the basics of elections, from campaigns to the complexity of the electoral college are explained in a way that is clear and age-appropriate. Join Grace and her classmates on a musical theater journey through the throes of campaigning and pep rallies, service projects, and posters, as Grace and her classmates discover what it takes to be the best candidate. 
  1. Kids Eat Free at Brewer’s Alley - Join us each Wednesday and bring the Kiddo's! One free kid's meal per paying adult (sandwich or entree). 
  1. School Skills for Preschoolers at Walkersville Library - Preschoolers and their caregivers will practice school-readiness skills with cutting, tracing, play, and other literacy activities. 
  1. WOW Kids Movie Night at Keymar Evangelical Wesleyan Church - Join us for a Movie Night, Friday, November 4th at 7pm, watching Back to the Outback. Bring blankets, pillows, and such for cozy viewing. Snacks will be provided. Any questions, see Pastor Sabrina. 
  1. Maryland STEM Parade -  It's just like any other parade, but OURS creatively showcases the excitement around and career-viability of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math!  Our inaugural STEM Parade was held in 2019 at Bowie State University, and this year’s parade will launch from West Frederick Middle School and wind its way to Baker Park, where there will be a pop-up festival showcasing various STEM-related activities and organizations!   Fort Detrick Deputy Commander Colonel Andrew C. Kim and Mayor Michael O'Connor will be our Grand Marshalls!
  1. Children’s Nutrition and Open Gym at the Pediatric Movement Center - Would you like your child to try new foods? Do you want tips on how to help your entire family live a more healthy and nutritious lifestyle, amidst the rising cost of groceries? Join Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Erin Salahov to learn more at this FREE event!
  1. Free Art Work Shop with Kids at the Delaplaine Art Center - The Delaplaine offers free workshops that explore various artists and art techniques throughout history. These workshops are a part of our Community Outreach Initiative and are made possible through donations from the Helen L. Smith Scholarship Fund for Children and the Arts at the Community Foundation of Frederick County. Helen Smith Free Workshops for Kids are held on most first Saturdays, 1–3 pm.
