At Somebunny Special and me, our goal is to foster music education that is easy, fun and affordable!
Classes are specifically designed for teachers, parents, and caregivers to enjoy music education with their little bunnies and to continue learned skills at home and school!
SBS offers:
- Small class sizes in a local, private in-home studio
- Shorter time frames appropriate for developing minds
- Special time with a caregiver ensures continued education and growth of musical skills at home
- Great for siblings
- Classes feature a theme, and every activity, song and musical skill taught will embody that week’s particular theme
- Participants are emailed printable versions of all the songs and activities each week after class
The flow of each class in a 6 week session is as follows:
- Good morning song: A simple call and answer song (echo song) that assists in developing listening skills and routine
- Name song “Sing a song and clap your hands”: focus on keeping a steady beat through singing and movement, and breaking names into syllables
- Nursery rhyme instrument play (with wooden percussion instruments): focus on Italian musical terms that teach dynamics, tempo and musical expression
- Dance to music with scarves: focus on conducting movements in varying time signatures
- Felt board story (a moving musical story): focus on teaching the concepts of the “three R's”: Reading, Writing and Arithmetic
- Floor activity (an interactive musical game): focus on musical skills such as musical form, musical texture and note values
- Sing a book (features a rhyming book that is sung to a popular nursery rhyme tune): focus on language development including rhyming words, syllabic definition lyrical phrasing
- Sensory response to music (a musical way to enhance your senses): focus on music appreciation of different musical genres (jazz, classical, blues, country etc.) and art forms
- Goodbye song: A simple call and answer song (echo song) that assists in developing listening skills and routine

Maria-Giulia Bruni is the founder and director of Somebunny Special and me. A Canadian native, she has a Bachelor of music degree and Master of music degree in Opera performance. She plays guitar, and piano and teaches private voice and piano lessons from her home studio. Maria-Giulia also teaches the music program at Catoctin Sun Nature preschool. Aside from teaching, Maria-Giulia stays home with her three children.
