Disney On Ice: Follow Your Heart

Review

By Nichole Dowlearn October 22, 2016

Last night we enjoyed the rare opportunity to spend time together as a family at the Eagle Bank Arena in Fairfax for Disney On Ice: Follow Your Heart!  A good time was had by all. My one year old nearly flew out of his seat when Donald Duck waved to him, while my seven year old enjoyed the pyrotechnics and snow (it was indoors!).

My husband was astounded by the skill of the acrobatic princesses, and I felt like a kid again watching Olaf sing that little ditty about summertime.   In fact, if you have a Frozen fan in your family he or she will probably be hoarse from singing along through the entire second act. Princesses abound—from Snow White to Rapunzel on skates.

Even Woody from Toy story and Dory made appearances. The lights and sets were so bold and beautiful that the Disney glow literally lit up my family’s faces.  Even the souvenirs sparkle.  The merchandise is almost as fun as the show.

The arena itself (formerly the Patriot Center) is a great venue due to ample and convenient parking.  There really wasn’t a bad seat in the house and the snacks even come in keepsakes (like sports bottles and tote bags).

Shows continue there only for the next few days (through October 23) and you can buy tickets through www.TicketMaster.com or order by phone: 1-800-745-3000. It captures that usual Disney Magic only better—on ice!
