Get FREE Rewards through Summer Reading Programs

Looking for ideas to keep your child engaged in learning this summer? Then take advantage of the many FREE summer reading programs!


Frederick County Library

The Summer of Wonder Summer Reading program debuts in 2015 with brand new activities for kids, teens, and adults to do at home or at the library to win prizes! This free program can be completed entirely online, but kids & tweens 12 and under as of May 1, 2015 may opt to use a paper game board. If you register online, stop by your local branch for your Passport to Wonder (all ages) and your Keys Tickets (Kids & Teens).


Barnes & Noble

Barnes and Noble summer reading program is back . Imagination's Destination will give your child a free book after 8 books are read over the summer.There are many free books to choose from and there's something for every kid in grades 1-6. This summer reading program runs May 19 - September 7, 2015.


Scholastic

Scholastic is offering a summer reading challenge where kids  can read and then go online to record the minutes they've read this summer. They'll also be able to take weekly challenges to earn rewards. This summer reading programs runs May 4 - September 4, 2015.


Book It! ( Pizza Hut's Program)

Check out the site later this month for more info. Kids who participate in the Book It! Pizza Hut's Spark Your Greatness Summer Reading Challenge can enjoy fun activities, play games, and have the chance to gather some  prizes. This summer reading program starts June 1.


Book Adventure through Sylvan

Book Adventure is a fun, free way to motivate your child to read! Kids in grades K-8 can search for books, read them offline, come back to quiz on what they’ve read, and earn prizes for their reading success. Start your reading adventure below!


Pottery Barn Reading Club

Pottery Barn Kids Summer Reading Challenge at  Pottery Barn Kids.  Check with your local Pottery Barn Kids to find out which books are available and see what other Free Fun is happening this summer . Some things are character appearances, healthy snacks from Happy Family, and activities and giveaways from PBS Kids.


Chuck E Cheese

Chuck E. Cheese has a summer reading program where kids can earn free 10 Chuck E. Cheese tokens for reading each day for 2 weeks.


PBS and Education.com

Stop by Education.com this summer for a 10 Week D-I-Y Camp filled with hands-on activities and learning resources that coincide with our great PBS KIDS content.
